Hello brad31,

It's awesome that you'd like to join QuickBooks' cloud platform option, QuickBooks Online! It sounds like you've done your research already about what to do to convert the data yourself, but you're just not seeing the options outlined. Don't worry, I can explain why and help you along with this process.

The option to convert your company file to QuickBooks Online yourself depends largely on which version of QuickBooks Desktop you have. There are two things to consider with this: are you using Pro or Premier and what year is your product? You've got the first one checked off since you're using Pro, meaning it's just the year that's holding you back in this case.

When it comes to older versions of QuickBooks Desktop like yours, you'll need an extra hand with bringing the data to online. We have a team called Data Services that can do just that. All it takes is filling out a form and then following the steps you're given via email to get through the process. I've got a few links for you that explain the process and what you can expect.

That should get you on your way, but don't hesitate to ask more questions. I'll be here if you need me!
