I have seen in an old version (desktop) where I start to enter a transaction & historical data appears on a sidebar. How can I get that on premiere contract edition?feature

Welcome to the QuickBooks community! I know exactly the sidebar you're talking about and can appreciate how this would be useful when you're entering a new transaction for a customer or vendor. I can assure you this is still an available option in newer versions of QuickBooks Desktop and I think I know what might be going on.

The beauty of that sidebar isn't only that it displays customer and transaction information, but also that it can be collapsed. It may simply be that the bar is collapsed in your transaction window. Don't worry, it's pretty simple to get it back. I'll show you how with some screenshots from a sample company file.

Take a look at the following screenshot to see how the window looks with the sidebar collapsed and where to click to bring it back. I've highlighted that in green.

Once you click that area, it will look like the following screenshot.
