Hello t-dobbin123,

Adding older transactions to your QuickBooks Self-Employed books via CSV is a great way to make sure you have all the transactions you need for your business and that your numbers are balancing as they should. I'll help you get this sorted out so you can take advantage of this feature.

Knowing more about the error is useful in these kinds of situations since they often give us hints about how to move forward with resolving an issue. For that reason, speaking with the QuickBooks Self-Employed team is the way to go to make sure you're able to complete this process. I also encourage you to review the Add older transactions to QuickBooks Self-Employed article to double-check the steps you're taking.

You can also try a simple step like clearing your browser's cache to make sure that temporary Internet files aren't causing the errors you're seeing. Learn more here: How do I clear my browser cache and temporary Internet files? Although the article is tagged for QuickBooks Online, it has steps you can take in your browser to clear the cache.

To reach QuickBooks Self-Employed support, follow these steps.

  1. Click the Assistant feature,
  2. Type and enter "talk to human."
  3. Follow the prompts to connect with an agent.

If you're note sure where to find the Assistant feature, check out the Contact QuickBooks Self-Employed support article to learn where it is.
