I'm trying to set up a time tracking user and get the following error message:"Error! Please try again?" An unexpected error happened. QB has not been able to resolve.

Time tracking users are a simple and convenient ways to let your employees handle some of the workload for payroll. Not only does it give them more control over their own hours, but it also makes running payroll significantly easier for you. I can think of a few things that can cause this error, and I'll be happy to help you sort this out.

 

The most common cause for issues inviting a time tracking user is the email already being in use by another user. If this is the case, they should already be able to track their own hours. Similarly, make sure the name isn't already in use. If you're still receiving the error with a unique name and email, choose from the following methods to get in touch with an agent. They'll be able to take a look into our systems to see if the error is on our end.
