I merged 2 bank accounts and now my reconciliation is out. How do I fix?

Hello,

 

A client had to reconnect their bank accounts, and they created NEW ones instead of reconnected the existing ones.  I merged the two accounts in the Chart of Accounts, not thinking clearly, obviously.  The reconciliation is off now and I don't know what to do.  Please help :)

Hi there Nestabesta.,

 

It's vital that all your accounts have the correct balance in order for your books to be correct. QuickBooks Online is a great tool able to keep track of transactions in your bank account and allows you to reconcile at the end of the month to make sure all transactions are included. I can point you in the right direction for some assistance with reconciling.

 

For assistance with error reconciling, I recommend reaching out to the QuickBooks Online support team outside of the Community. They'll be able to view your account with you in a secure setting to best advise on how to get your accounts back to being correctly reconciled. You can reach out to them using one of these ways:
