I need to make changes to T4 line 20,when I enter the amount I want, it adds it to the number that is there. How do I change the amount?

it's vital that all your end-of-year payroll forms have the right information before being submitted. QuickBooks Enterprise Payroll is a great tool able to help you keep track of the pay made to employees to be able to use them for your T4 and Relevé-1 forms. I can provide some information about editing T4 lines.

As stated in the Ammend section of this article, the amount to be written in the box to edit is the difference between the total currently shown and the total you want. This would be the reason why the total you're writing is adding itself to the original total. For example, if you currently have $3000 in that line, and you wish to have $4000 after the edit, you'd need to write $1000 in the ox for the edit.
