Hey creatationdecor,

I'm glad to hear that you've noticed the duplicates. Using an app to synchronize with a third-party system is a great way to automate a lot of your bookkeeping. For specific support for a third-party app, your best source of help is the app developer. You can find out how to get in touch with them in a few simple steps:

  1. Head to the Apps section on the left.
  2. Select My Apps at the top.
  3. Click on Action the app you use to synchronize with Etsy
  4. (Optional) Select Settings if the option appears to see how the app has been setup.
  5. Select Support to see support options for that app.

Visit our App Center if you're interested in finding new apps to integrate with your QuickBooks Online.

With any app that automatically imports transactions, there is a risk of duplicating with the bank feed (as transactions are being imported in two places). If Etsy transactions are being synchronized with the bank feed as well, make sure match or exclude the bank transaction to avoid having duplicates. Here are a couple articles to help you with this:

Certain apps use a clearing account to import transactions, instead of posting directly to the bank account. In this case you may need to record the bank transactions as transfer. An accountant would be well-suited to help you record these. If you're interested in finding an accountant in your area, simply head to the My Accountant tab in QuickBooks Online then click on Find a pro to help.
