Question

I tried to efile today. The program asked for a 10 digit number and I do not have that information, so I re applied to recieve one. The application was rejected because it said I already have one. What can I do?

Hello Barbara811,

Efiling is an awesome way to cut down on some of the legwork you have to do when it comes to remitting your taxes to the government. I want to make sure you're able to take care of your filing and make sure you're meeting your deadlines.

QuickBooks Desktop's part in efiling includes generating a file to save to your computer that you can then file through the CRA or other government website. The codes you're mentioning are generally generated by the government website, so in this case I recommend reaching out to the support team of whatever website you're trying to file your remittance through. They'll be able to let you know what steps to take to resolve this issue.

Give me a shout if you have any further questions on the QuickBooks side of things. Enjoy the rest of your day!
