Question

I turn off Auto Tracking and start/stop my trips instead. Auto tracking turns itself on and sometimes overrides trips already in progress. How do I fix this?

When auto tracking turn itself on , it also undoes some trips that have already been reviewed - making for double the work.

I want to help you resolve this issue with the automatic mileage tracking feature, @scaparello74-gma.

Before we report this issue to our engineers, I have a couple of suggestions to rule out this problem. Have you tried iupatng the tracker on the mobile device? Also. does this happen to multiple devices or just one? Can you also share the device used so we can check if there's any ongoing issues related to it.

If you're seeing this problem when you access your account in a web browser, try logging in to a private web browser. I need to be sure if this is a caching problem.

Unexpected issues in QuickBooks are sometimes associated with the amount of data stored in the cache. This is because a regular browser will constantly overwrite itself and will not remove history unless done manually.

Private browsing will not save any history, so it's a great place to identify issues in the browser. Use these keyboard shortcuts to launch a new private window:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift N

If it works, clear the cache to resolve browser issues in QBO. You can also use a different browser and see if the issue persists there.

Kindly update me with the additional details of the problem. I'll be right here to ensure this is fixed.
