Hi sohoca,

It's nice to see you reaching out to Community. Welcome!  I can see how having the sales tax included on the csv file for importing would be beneficial and time saving.  Although QuickBooks Online provides such items to be imported effortlessly, there's currently no option for adding an additional column for sales tax and would need to be recorded manually.  I'd be happy to provide more detail.

Prior to importing journal entries, you'll be able to review the sample file provided.  Here's how:

1. From the Gear icon in the top right of your QuickBooks Online account

2. Select Import Data under the Tools column

3. Click on the tile for Journal Entries

4. Open the blue hyperlink to review the data on the Sample File

Of note:  if your file isn't mapped as indicated on the sample file, you'll receive an error message when importing it.

If this is something that you'd like to see in a future update, you can submit a suggestion to our Development Team by going to the Gear in the top right and select Feedback.  We appreciate any recommendations you may have to improve your customer experience with QuickBooks Online.

I hope the information I've provided has been beneficial. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to reach back out.  We'd be glad to help!
