In the app version, why can’t I enter a Bill? My only option is an Expense (ie. it’s already been paid)

The mobile app for QuickBooks Online makes it so simple for you to take your business on the road! The cloud-based program offers so much flexibility for your business bookkeeping tasks, and I know how important it is to have a complete picture of the tools available to you in the mobile app. I'll help shed some light on this for you. 

 

While the mobile app makes it simple for you to complete the most essential business-related duties, it does have a few limitations. The browser-version of QBO allows you to enter bills, expenses, and cheques. The mobile app offers the expense option, but the other types of expense transactions will have to be added using your browser. 

 

I can appreciate that having the option to enter bills would make your life easier, and I'd be happy to share this with the product development team for review. Our team is always looking for ways to improve the app. You can submit this feedback on your end as well, by clicking the Gear icon > Feedback.

 

In the meantime, I'd recommend logging into your QBO account using the browser installed on your mobile device to enter your bills. Doing this will ensure you have the full capabilities of the program when you're using the account on-the-go.
