Invoicing in USD

We sell products to customers in Canada and the US. For US customers, we reduce the C$ price, but do not want it converted at QBO's exchange rate, rather we want to discount the C$ price by a fixed amount. For example, if the price is C$1000, and FX is $1.35, we don't want to charge US$740.74, but rather US$800 (i.e. a 20% discount from the C$ price). Is there a way to do this within QBO for each item or invoice?

Hi there cwb01,

Thanks for reaching out about your exchange rates. QuickBooks Online is a great tool able to help you create and send invoices to your customers. I can provide some information about exchange rates.

When creating a transaction in USD, you can edit the exchange rate to a custom number so the invoice total matches the amount you want instead of the exchange rate provided automatically by the system. To do this when creating a transaction with a foreign currency, click on the exchange rate shown to edit the amount so that the invoice total is the amount wished.
