Is it possible to open a back up file from a 2019 QB Pro into 2023 QB Premier using the same password they used in 2019? It keeps rejecting the password

Previous bookkeeper used the old program QB Desktop 2019 Pro. I have taken over and am trying to open her Back up copy (not Portable Company file) using her password. QB 2023 Premier says wrong password. Before I start the long journey in QB Support, I thought I would ask here!

Do your client has QB Desktop 2019 to restore the file?

Ask your client to make sure the password with their old accountant.

Last resort, you can purchase a 3rd party service to reset the Admin password.
