Hello ozzyoud,

It's great to hear from you, and I hope you've enjoyed your week so far. Being able to merge items can definitely be a time saver instead of having to go in and manually make changes. I can see why you'd have this question about projects set up using the Projects feature in QuickBooks Online, and I can shed light on this for you.

QuickBooks Online has a way to merge various items, such as customers, suppliers, and accounts in the chart of accounts, which is useful for taking care of duplicate entries quickly. At this time, however, that same process cannot be applied to the Projects feature and there isn't another way to merge them. This means that if you have some entries that are meant to be on another project or that you'd like associated to another project, you'll have to open the invoices, expense, or otherwise and change the name of the project associated with it in the Customer field. You can easily open your project transactions by going to the Transactions tab in the project, and then selecting the transaction you need to edit.

This is a good opportunity for feedback, and I encourage you to submit your thoughts to our product development team using the steps outlined here: How do I submit feedback? This helps our team learn the ways that users would like to see the program evolve, and they consider the feedback submitted. If you're interested in a place where you can see new features, check out the QuickBooks Online Feature and Product Updates page.

I hope this has been helpful. Don't hesitate if you have further questions.
