Is there a way to view unbilled or partially billed projects?

Is there a report I can pull to view unbilled or partially billed projects? We ran into an issue where due to a miscommunication, there were a couple projects that were not billed or only partially billed. Looking for a report we can run so that we know the ongoing status.

Hey there Kayla Forget,

It's always a pleasure to see new faces in the Community! Thanks for reaching out to us here. QuickBooks Online is a great software to have. It offers various reports to choose from so you are able to keep track of your finances. I would be happy to provide some information.

Follow the steps below to view Unbilled time report:

  • In QuickBooks Online, Head to the Business overview and select Projects.
  • Click the customer's name
  • You'll see 4 tabs to choose from, Overview, Transactions, Time activity, and Project Reports. Select Project reports
  • In the Unbilled time and expenses, select View to open the report.

If you require further assistance, I recommend reaching out to the support team outside of the Community. They'll be able to do a screenshare with you, and guide you on the right track. You can reach them by following one of these methods:

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
Social Media: Facebook and Twitter

If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out here.

Hi Amanda,

Thank you so much for your response! Do you happen to know if there is a way to view all opposed to going through each individual customer?

Hello Kayla. I'll be happy to share more info so you're on the right track. The  function you've described above isn't available. I can see the benefit of having this function and I encourage you to send feedback about this to our engineers. You can send feedback by clicking on the Gear icon and looking for Feedback.

Let me know if you have other questions by leaving a comment below. I'll be one message away.
