It's been 2 weeks this error message is showing with connected CIBC accounts """Complete some security steps for CIBC . Then we’ll get your latest transactions. (185)"""

I called the support and they did not fix it yet ,  I am not able to sync the CIBC accounts anymore , really sad .

Thank you for requesting updates with this CIBC issue in QuickBooks, @jamilss-gmail-co.

 

Not being able to use the banking features in QuickBooks can be a deal-breaker, especially if you have other tasks. 

 

Regarding your error 185 for CIBC accounts, there is still an ongoing investigation for this data connection concern. Some users are still getting the problem when trying to update the connection. Our engineers haven’t resolved this unexpected behavior yet, but the fix is in the process of being prioritized/investigated. Although this is being actively looked at, we do not have an ETA for resolution at this time.

 

While this is escalated, we would like to ask for your continued patience and wait for the email updates from our team.They will send periodic updates about this concern once your email is added to the notification list.

 

If you're not getting any notifications from us, please reach out to our support again and provide your email. Follow these steps to contact support:

 

  1. Go to the Help menu then choose the Search tab.
  2. At the bottom click on Contact us.
  3. Enter the keyword Account Management and Billing in the What can we help you with? box.
  4. On the next screen, scroll down to How would you like to connect with us section.
  5. Choose your contact option.

 

For now, the only workaround we can provide is to manually import your transactions in the system.
