Hi there, @tc-property-conc. I'm here to help you fix the issue you had with inaccurate or missing tips while tracking mileage in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Usually, missing trips are affected by the following:

  • Unconsciously turned off the Auto-mileage tracking.
  • The activity log on your phone has been cleared, which results in closing all the applications you have opened.

To isolate the issue, make sure that:

  • The internet connection is enabled on the mobile device.
  • The location services or GPS are enabled.
  • Auto-mileage tracking is enabled on the mobile application.
  • You're logged in to the correct QuickBooks account while tracking the trips.
  • The mobile app is updated to its latest release.

While some of your mileage transactions are missing, you may add them manually following these steps:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks in a web browser.
  2. Go to the Mileage or Trips menu.
  3. Tap on Add Trip, then select Create Trip.
  4. Add the trip date, starting and ending locations, distance, and purpose.
  5. Select the vehicle you used.
  6. Hit Save.
