Missing deposits

I'm reconciling a prior year and have noticed missing deposits in quickbooks desktop. The deposits are showing on bank statements I can locate the sales slips showing the amounts deposited in bank but these are not showing up  in reconciliation page. Any ideas?

It's vital you're able to see the deposits in question so you can complete your work with peace of mind. QuickBooks Desktop is a powerful program that enables you to get your work done faster using the powerful features offered in the program. I'll be glad to steer you towards the right path with this. 

 

Based on what you've described, I recommend searching for the missing transactions using the Audit Trail report. You can locate this report from your Reports center. Once you've opened the report, you can narrow down your search by filtering the report so it shows deposits only. To do this, click on Customize report > navigate to the Filter tab > search for Transaction type > Choose Deposit and hit OK. This report is helpful as it allows you to locate deleted transactions. In case you find out that the transactions were deleted, I suggest recreating the transactions so they can be recorded in QuickBooks.
