New user log in error that email is taken. How do we resolve?

Hi there, 

 

Adding a new user to QuickBooks Online is made so simple. It's essential that each user in QuickBooks has their own login credentials so you can keep track of each user's activity. If you're receiving the error message telling you that this email is already taken, this means it's been used to create a user already.

 

If this new user has already registered this email, but they're unable to remember their password, please have them click the "Forgot my user ID or password" link from the login screen. They'll be sent a password reset link to the email provided. 

 

If you're not aware of any new user with this email, and you're unable to use the reset password link, please reach out to our tech support team so we can investigate this further.
