On your web page (where I purchased the program) it states that you will migrate my accounts for me. How do I initiate this?

I'm here to help you migrate your desktop file to a QuickBooks Online company. To begin, let's get your desktop file ready. Make sure QuickBooks is up-to-date, then follow these steps:

  1. On your keyboard, press Ctrl+1 then make sure your Total Targets is less than 350,000. If it's not, send your file to our Data Migration team so we can help convert your file.
  2. Print a copy of your Sales Tax Liability report. You'll need it to enter adjustment entriesafter your move.
    1. Go to the Reports menu, then select Suppliers & Payables. Select Sales Tax Liability.
    2. From the Dates▼drop-down, select All.
    3. At the top, from the Print▼drop-down, select Save as PDF.
    4. Choose the folder you want to save it in, name the file, and select Save.

Next, here's to import your desktop file to QuickBooks Online. It's mandatory to log in as a admin to the company file you need to import. 

  1. Go to the Company menu, then select Export Company File to QuickBooks Online.
  2. Select Start your export.
  3. Sign in as an admin to your QuickBooks Online company.
  4. If you track inventory in QuickBooks Desktop:

    Note: Only QuickBooks Online Plus can track inventory. It uses the FIFO method.

  5. Select the Choose online company▼drop-down, and choose the QuickBooks Online company you want to be replaced by your company file.
  6. Select Continue.
  7. Enter “Agree” in the text field, then select Replace.
  8. Select Yes, go ahead and replace the data, then select Replace.
