I inadvertently paid my sales tax for last quarter from my Cpp expense account instead of paying it from my bank account. I deleted it thinking I could just go back and pay it from this account but now cant find report to pay it. What do I do?

Hi there,

Filing your sales tax is an essential part of running a small business. QuickBooks Online helps make this process easy for you, by gathering your information and allowing you to record your payment in QBO. If you need to re-record your sales tax payment, I'll explain how to do this.

If you marked your sales tax filing as paid in the Tax center, the filing will have to be deleted permanently by one of our tech support agents in the back-end. It sounds like you may have recorded the sales tax payment directly from the register, which won't impact the sales tax module if you've since deleted it.

Here's the steps for properly recording your sales tax payment: File sales tax. This article should help you navigate to the button that asks you to record your sales tax payment.

If you have any other questions, or if you're still not seeing the option to record your sales tax payment, please reach out to our tech support team so an agent can walk you through it to ensure it's being recorded properly.

Cheers.
