is anyone aware of an app where you can create pop up messages. In other accounting packages OI've use in the past I could create messages for my users that would alert them within different modules i.e perhaps on a SKU when someone enters it on an order I could create a message that pops up and says: Don't forget to ask the client what size they need or I could make it so that when an invoice is created the user gets a message pop up for a particular client that says: don't forget to send Canadian invoices to this address but send their US invoices to this other address

you get the idea. I've looked but can't find anything. Help?

I can see how having tips and reminders in the form of a pop-up would be really helpful for your business. I know how many tasks a small business owner has to handle, and this would take just one more thing off your worry list.

At this time, this feature doesn't exist in QuickBooks. I think it would be a really great idea, and I'd be happy to pass along your feedback about it to our product development team for review. We're always looking for new ways to improve the product and make your life easier.

In the meantime, I would recommend creating transactions under the customer’s profile for you to see the displayed notes.

I'm sure other Community members will chime in with their thoughts and ideas about this as well.

Thanks yes I am using notes currently but a sales person who's working on the fly isn't going to check those. Yes if you can pass it along as a suggestion that would be appreciated.

Agreed. Popup alerts on certain stock items would be incredibly useful and a very flexible addition. There could be an additional 'alert' field against each items that if populated displays popup when it is added to an invoice.

I would also like alerts to pop up, for example service reminders to contact customers that were here 6 months ago, to book them in again

I know that having the option to receive alerts from QuickBooks would be super helpful. Please remember that you have the opportunity to have your voice heard by our product development team on this. I have submitted feedback online through our QB program. I am actually quite surprised this feature hasn't been developed yet as I'm sure the demand is high and pop-up notifications would greatly increase the value of this program. I encourage everyone to submit feedback through your QB program as well (Help>Send Feedback Online) and get your voices heard!

I Second the option of pop up alerts. very help full when doing orders for customers with special pricing or quotes.

I would like the pop ups too .. but not holding my breath as I have seen many problems reported that years later are still a problem.

In the mean time I noticed that if there is one note (or if multiple the pinned one) shows up in the top right of the window. not as noticable as a popup but 1/2 way there
