Posting a Journey Entry

I am trying to "use" the recurring transaction I have set up but I have no idea what it means by "use".  I see the action button and it re-opens the journal entry, but I don't know what it means by posting the recurring transaction. if that makes sense. I need to "use' the recurring journal entry and post them up to a certain date.

Welcome to Community!  Creating recurring transactions in QuickBooks Online is a great time saver so you can work in confidence.  After creating a recurring template you can use it before the scheduled date.  I'll be happy to show you how!

 

Follow these steps if you need to use an existing recurring template before it's scheduled;

 

1. Open your Settings ⚙ in the top right of your QuickBooks Online account

2. Select Recurring Transactions under Lists

3. Click on the template you'd like to use

4. Use the ▼ drop-down menu in the Action column, select Use

5. Edit the transaction as necessary, then select Save.
