Thank you for reaching out and sharing a screenshot, Joe. I understand how frustrating it can be to encounter EDI errors when e-filing your client's Quebec TP1 tax declaration in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Let me provide some insight to help resolve these issues.

The errors you’re experiencing, such as invalid element values and structural issues, sometimes result from data formatting problems (e.g., using commas instead of periods as decimal separators), missing required elements, or issues with your MRQ (Ministère du Revenu du Québec) filing credentials. These credentials are essential for successful electronic filing and are a common source of errors like TPT000001.

Given the technical nature of these errors, which involve Extensible Markup Language (XML) validation and Revenu Québec’s filing protocols, I highly recommend contacting our live support team. They are equipped with the tools and expertise to review your specific file and error messages in detail, guide you through correcting any data or configuration issues, and verify that your MRQ credentials are correctly set up.

Here's how to contact them:

  1. Log in to your QBO account and go to the Help (?) menu.
  2. Select the Search tab and enter a brief description of your concern.
  3. Click Contact Us.
  4. Choose a way to connect (Chat or Callback).

Please check their support hours  to ensure they are available when you need assistance.

Additionally, you can refer to this article to help you manage and access previously filed tax documents in QBO: Archive and view payroll tax forms in QuickBooks Online Payroll.

We truly value your patience and cooperation as we work together to address the EDI errors you've encountered with your client’s Quebec TP1 tax declaration in QuickBooks Online, Joe. Our commitment is to ensure that your tax filing concerns are resolved efficiently and accurately.
