Project management - Estimates

Hello,

It would be great to see somewhere in the project dashboard the total amount of all opened estimates that have not been billed yet for a specific project.

For example:

I have a client that has approved an estimate for $10,000.00. The terms of payment are 30% at the signature, 30% when the work are starting and 40% at the end.

At start, I would bill the first 30%. So, in the project dashboard, I should see that I still have to bill $7,000.00$ for this project with that specific estimate.

The additional estimate that would be add to the project during the work would also be add to this number with the possibility to see to which estimate it is linked.

Those estimates would also count in the project's total budget so we are able to follow the profitability of a project even though we have not yet billed to whole amount.

This is my suggestion because, right now, each estimate are getting the ''Closed'' status as soon as we bill some amount from them.

Thank you,

Hey there Docweaver,

Thanks for reaching out to us here. Currently, this isn't an option within QuickBooks. I can see how being able to see the total amount of open estimates in the project section would be beneficial for you and your company I recommend leaving feedback by heading to the Gear icon and selecting the Feedback option. These comments are viewed and considered by out developers as they create new features and updates for QuickBooks.
