When trying to install QB 2015 Pro R3 Desktop on Windows 11, the install process tells me that my license or product number is invalid. Neither one are invalid - I have the original packaging with licensing sticker right in front of me.  I'm located in Canada.

This problem has been resolved.  What the issue was...

- I called Canadian tech support at 1-888-829-8589 and the technician, Bernard, suspected the installer and codes were not compatible.

- I was using a US installer, but my license number and product code are from a Canadian retail product.

- I had downloaded the installer (just an EXE containing the entire application) from the QB website because my original product is on DVD and my new laptop does not have a DVD drive.

- Bernard sent me a link to download the Canadian retail installer, and then my license and product number worked.

- So basically, QB installers are country and product specific and have to match the license and product numbers being used. If anyone is trying to install 2015 Desktop Pro on a new computer, that is the installer you need.  I imagine sharing the original install DVD over my home network would have probably worked too.

- If you have trouble entering the validation code to register the product after the install, it can be done manually.

- Select the "help" menu and then "about QuickBooks Pro"

- Press and hold CTRL R P on your keyboard. This will present a screen to manually enter the validation code and register the product.

- Using the "help" menu and "register product" option did not work for me - no errors, it just sat there after

clicking "next" and didn't do anything.

2015 Pro Desktop is now running on Windows 11 Home.
