Good evening

When I go through the migration portion it just hangs when I get to the sign in to your QB online account.

It work with the 2021 version but I have already converted the data file to 2022.

Is this a software problem?

Hi there Cheryl Ovas,

It's important that your books be set up correctly so that you can have the correct account balances in your new QuickBooks Online subscription. It's a great tool able to give you access to your books from anywhere with an internet connection. I can provide some information about migrating from QuickBooks Desktop Online.

One thing to make sure is that your QuickBooks Online subscription is less than 60 days old. If older than 60 days, that would be why you wouldn't see the option to migrate to that account. I recommend taking a look at this article that goes over the process of migrating from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online. There is a section with common error messages seen.

If the error still persists, i recommend reaching out to the Quickbooks Desktop support team. They'll be able to provide some assistance with getting your data migrated over from QuickBooks Desktop. You can find ways to reach them in the Quickbooks Desktop software support policies.

If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out here.

@Cheryl Ovas

Just to clarify, did you open a new blank QBO CA account to convert data from QBD 2022 CA version?
