Question

QBO unable to connect to Scotiabank Accounts (link an account, download transactions) for weeks. Daily accounting has been disrupted. is there a timeline for the fix?

Contacting QBO help just say they're working on it. but there is no timeline, no help, no hope. It seems easier to just switch to another product, or switch banks entirely?

Thanks Steve, I already have spent a ton of time with QBO Helpdesk and the official response is "there's a reported investigation about this error. Our product engineers are currently aware of the issue and is in the process of looking further into this to come up for with resolution as soon as possible." -- as my my original post, its been weeks now without a solution, and QBO cannot sync or connect with Scotiabank -- I am told this is happening to anyone who banks with Scotiabank.

Hi Elton - sorry to bother you .... I am also suffering with ScotiaBank linking with my QB account. After 3 weeks of being down Nov - Dec 24 .... they did get me up and running for a few weeks. NOW I AM SUFFERING yet again with ERROR 105 and 185.

Are you experiencing the same or is your account working fine.

Thanks
Dave

This is still happening.

At first I thought it was just a 2 Factor Verification Issue, but it is more than that.

This is very annoying, and there's no way to get any help on such a thing.

Ya'll just shove an AI assistant at us that can't do anything.

I have had on and off problems with connecting to Scotiabank, usually related to two-factor authentication but this is different.  This week I am not able to connect at all, even after approving two factor auth.  Receiving error 105 and 185 when I tried connecting in a different browser.

We couldn't connect to Scotiabank (Canada). Try connecting again in a few hours. (105)

Hello NSE101. Thanks for reaching out here. Our engineers have been made aware of this issue and they're working hard to help get you back on track. While there isn't an estimated time frame for a fix, I encourage you to manually uploading your transactions using the steps provided in this article here. Feel free to keep me posted on how you make out. I'll be one message away in case you need anything else.

I am so frustrated with this situation.  It works periodically but most of the time I get an error to “wait a few hours and try again (105).  This morning I called a number I got online and a supposed QB operator tried to get me to grant him access to my computer so he could resolve the issue. (Denied!).   Im trying to figure out whether it would easier to move away from quickbooks or from scotiabank.

This is the same error that I am currently receiving.  Appears QBO knows about the issue, but they have no timeline for a fix (not really acceptable when the issue has been known for some time now).

What's the point of QB Online if we have to manually pull in transactions!

I have gotten the odd update over the last few months but it really is sporadic.  So frustrating and Scotiabank is of no help either.  They say its a QB issue.    I really want to stress the fact that I went onto a site this morning, got an operator who was trying to get me to give him access to my computer so he could try to resolve it.  Beware.

I've personally been having to obtain manual downloads from my client because Scotiabank hasn't been able to remain connected to QBO for about two solid years. In calls to each, they blame the other party and don't seem keen to address the issue, unfortunately. Absolutely horrible to work with Scotiabank accounts and QBO.

Same issue, also when it would periodically connect there would be whole days of missing transactions. I would have to sift through the whole month of transactions to find the random pissing ones and then upload them as a CSV file. I do think this is a Scotia problem though. I have a separate RBC business account that hasn't had a single issue in about 3 years.
