I have an employee wondering if the platform of quick books online is tied with Turbo Tax.  She said the desktop version was, but doesn't seem to be working with online version.  Does anyone know the answer to this?

Thanks,

Hi Iwikdahl,

We are delighted to welcome you as a new member of our QuickBooks Community! QuickBooks Online is a streamlined version of the QuickBooks product designed for busy people on the go. You can currently use the QuickBooks Self-Employed version with Turbo Tax. However, there's no direct way to export information to Turbo Tax from QuickBooks Online. By reaching out to Turbotax support, you may get more information on how to import QBO data. Here's a link with their contact details.

I invited you to provide feedback if you'd like to see this feature considered in future updates by:

  1. Go to the Gear Icon.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Fill in your ideas and click Send Feedback.

You can come back at any time if you have other questions. Take care.

@Iwikdahl

You may utilize the trial version a bookkeeping app to export TXF file from your QBO account to TurboTax. You don't need to install QB Desktop.
