quickbooks desktop pro 2018

I have it for a business we had overseas I purchased it in the USA

 

Now I am trying to set it up for a Canadian business and it wont let me change the tax options ex: HST for the sales and expenses??

 

Is it not compatible for Canada?

It might be QB Desktop US version. You should use QB Desktop CA version.

I was hoping not to have to purchase another quickbooks software is there not an upgrade?

Just to clarify, do you need to migrate any data file from QBD US to QBD CA? Both versions are not compatible to each other. You should install the trial license to make sure your needs.
