Quickbooks desktop unable to send emails to outlook

Help!  Im using quickbooks desktop 2020 and have always been able to email invoices through quickbooks. Now I get an error message - Quickbooks unable to send emails to outlook.  Close Outlook and try again.  This does not resolve the issue.  Nothing has changed as far as outlook or quickbooks desktop,

Being able to send your emails using QuickBooks Desktop is a great way to save time and effort. Connecting directly to your outlook is a great way to do just that. I can help you with getting your emails sent out.

 

Currently there is an issue where some people are getting an error to close outlook and try again. While we're working to get this resolved as quickly as we can, there is a work around we can try to allow you to send out emails again. One step we can try is making sure outlook is completely closed on the computer and then trying to send through QuickBooks Desktop. This is due to Outlook sometimes conflicting with QuickBooks when its open. Second would be setting it up through webmail instead of outlook. You can follow the steps in this article to set up emails through webmail.
