How do i generate a receipt showing the original amount the partial payment and balance due. The receipts am getting currently are shows zero balance on partial payments

Hi there, Becky. Let me share with you some information on how to get the details you need when generating receipts in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

When recording partial payment receipts in QuickBooks Online (QBO), the original amountopen balance, and payment amount will show up on your outstanding transactions. I'm adding these screenshots for your visual references.

 

However, when printing or sending the payment, it'll only display the current payment amount. As a workaround, you can prepare a statement to see the summary of your customer's invoices, payments, credits, and balances.
