Question

Recently replaced "Sync with Square" with the "Connect" app, as required.Getting error messages "Were sorry, QuickBooks encountered an error while calculating tax." etc.

Only eleven out of several hundred transactions were unable to be "accepted" and there does not seem to be any clear pattern on why they were rejected.  Full error message: "Were sorry, QuickBooks encountered an error while calculating tax. Try reselecting the tax rate or reentering the product/service item and saving the form again.".  Quick help would be very appreciated. please(!)

Welcome to Community!  Ensuring your transaction are accurately synchronized with QuickBooks Online is essential in keeping your books up to date.  I'd be glad to assist!

 

As mentioned, you were previously able to sync with Square seamlessly.  This would indicate that your sales tax set up is accurate in QuickBooks.  However, your time is valuable and it's vital that you're back on track with your QuickBooks goals as soon as possible.  I recommend contacting us outside of Community.  This will enable our Customer Care team to navigate through the process in real time and ensure your success!

 


Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?) Help in the upper right in QuickBooks Online > enter "Contact support" > hit Contact Us > provide a brief summary of your situation > hit Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
