Reconciling payroll when bank statement lumps them together

I can share some insights about this concern. When you process Direct Deposit for multiple employees, the system will create a bulk deposit for the sum of all cheques. You can use this to match with what's cleared in the bank statement.

Follow these steps in your QuickBooks Desktop account:

1. Go to the Banking menu.
2. Click Bank Feeds, then select Bank Feeds Center.
3. Select your preferred bank account.
4. Click the Transaction List.
5. Locate the transaction and select Match to Existing Transaction from the drop-down menu under the ACTION column.
6. If you can't find a match, you can choose Ignore, and manually clear the Direct Deposit in your Chart of Accounts.
