Hi debdeb1.

Being able to customize your estimates to show the information you want is one of the ways QuickBooks Desktop helps you add your own personal touch. I'd be happy to help you with removing the sales tax line.

Modifying your template is the best way to remove or add sections on your estimates. In order to modify your template to remove the sales tax option I recommend following the steps in this article. You can also use that article to make a custom estimate template as well that you can import and use.

If you have any questions let us know and we'd be happy to help.

Actually What I meant is to remove the marked line below along with the amount. I could not do it as mentioned in your reply.

Hi again debdeb1.

Depending on which template you choose that option will be there and can't be removed. For example if you use the Custom Estimate template that line will always show but if you use the Retail Estimate template it won't show. You can also make your own custom template and import it into your lists as well using the article I provided earlier.

If you rather keep the same template and not have that showing I recommend sending feedback to our development team by going to: Help>Send Feedback Online>Product Suggestions. Once they receive the feedback they'll look into ways to possible include this in future updates.
