sales order & tax

All of my sales orders have been invoiced in full, but the sales tax amount shows as an open balance. When I go to the sales order, the button to 'mark as closed' is faint and I cannot click to close. The individual items/lines show as closed.

Am I doing something wrong? I created the invoices from the sales orders but only those with one item do not have this issue and show a $0 open balance.

Making sure your transactions are entered correctly is an important part of your bookkeeping. Quickbooks Desktop is a great tool to help you manage your payables as well as receivables. I can point you in the right direction.

 

In order to make sure your sales orders are set up correctly, I recommend contacting our Desktop Support team outside of the Community. They'll be able to see how your system is set up as well as how you're using the sales orders t create invoices in order to help you make them have the correct value.
