Hello DSparky,

Welcome to Community!  QuickBooks Online provides the option to set default tax codes to your customers.  This is a dynamic way to ensure the appropriate tax is automatically, and accurately, applied to your sales forms.  I would be happy to show you how!

Follow these steps to set a default tax code to your customer;

1. Open Sales from the left menu, then Customers

2. Select the customer's name, then hit Edit

3. Scroll down to Taxes in the Customer information screen

4. Choose a Default tax code from the ▼ dropdown menu

5. Hit Save.

You're all set!  The associated tax code will automatically be applied to your forms for this customer.

Feel free to reach out again, if you have other questions.  We would be glad to assist!
