Since I updated the desktop and not the on line can I still upload files now to on-line from the up to date desktop files

Hi there, 

 

I'm happy to hear you're staying up-to-date on your Desktop program. It sounds like you may be using both QuickBooks Desktop as well as QuickBooks Online. You may also be migrating from Desktop to Online entirely. 

 

If you're currently using both versions of QuickBooks, I recommend transitioning entirely to one program. The two operate slightly differently, and aren't designed for seamless integration of data. 

 

You can move various aspects of your Desktop program to QBO. This will operate the same way with QuickBooks Desktop 2020. Here's a few articles that may help: 

If you're migrating from Desktop to Online, follow the steps here: Move your QuickBooks Desktop file to QuickBooks Online. Keep in mind that some of your lists and reports won't be converted because of feature differences. This process can absolutely work with the latest Desktop update.
