Tax Table for June to December 2021

Being able to download the new Payroll tax table is something we try to make easy for everyone to keep their accounts accurate. I'd be happy to go over how to install the update.

In order to get the new update for your tax table you'd first need to have QuickBooks Desktop 2021 installed. This is due to needing the newest version of QuickBooks for the July tax table update. If you need help with installing the newest year of QuickBooks Desktop you can follow the steps in this link.

Once you have the latest version of QuickBooks Desktop installed you can download the update by following these steps:

1. Go to the Help menu and select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
2. Go to the Update Now tab. Tip: You can select the Reset Update checkbox to clear all previous update downloads.
3. Select Get Updates to start the download.
4. When the download finishes, restart QuickBooks.
5. When prompted, accept the option to install the new release.

If the update is not showing up you can download it from our website by following these steps.

1. Go to the Downloads and Updates page.
2. From the Select Country dropdown, select your country.
3. From the Select Product dropdown, select your product.
4. From the Select Version dropdown, select your version (year).
5. Select Search.
6. Select Get updates. Save the file somewhere that's easy to find, like your Windows desktop.

Once you download the update finishes downloading you just need to open the file to install the update. Once the install is complete you'll need to restart your computer.

In order to make sure updates download automatically going forward it's recommended that you turn on automatic updates by going to Help>Update QuickBooks Desktop>Options and select Yes to turn on automatic updates.
