Hi there,

Running Payroll with QuickBooks Online means that you'll save tons of time with a streamlined bookkeeping workflow. Payroll helps to keep everything integrated into one place, and even lets you print your pay stubs right from the system. If you're noticing that the barcode is sometimes being covered by the Memo field, you may need to complete some browser troubleshooting or adjust your cheque alignment.

At this time, there's no option to remove the Memo field entirely. Don't worry, there's other ways to resolve this.

I'd recommend starting off by completing some browser troubleshooting steps. If the issue is browser-related, it's best to complete these steps first before adjusting your settings in-product. Try clearing the cache and cookies in your web browser to remove any stored Internet files. These stored files can cause bugs in QBO and other sites. Here's how to clear them: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online

If the issue persists, try using an Incognito window in Google Chrome. This is a private browsing mode that operates separately from the main browser, and it doesn't get impacted by stored cache and cookies. Here's more information about that and how to use it: Browse in Private. You should also try using multiple different browsers.

Next, follow the steps in these helpful articles if you're still noticing the Memo field covering the barcode on your pay stubs:

If you get the same result, ensure that the Adobe Acrobat or Reader installed on your computer is updated. Outdated versions of Adobe might not work when trying to print pay stubs and sales forms. To update, please refer to the link under How to update Adobe Reader/Acrobat in the following article: How to update, repair, or re-install Adobe installations.

I hope this helps get you back on track. If you have any other questions or if you're still in need of assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to our tech support team

Cheers.
