Question

Two of my linked bank accounts requires me to complete some security steps every time I want to update transactions. Any way to have it update automatically?

This happens with ScotiaBank and VanCity.

Welcome to Community!  QuickBooks Online provides Multifactor Authentication, as it is required by most financial institutions.  This ensures your data remains secure.

 

I recommend logging into your bank's website and see if there are any notifications that need your attention.  Please note that any information you update on your bank's end, will also need to be updated in QuickBooks Online. Once you've responded to the notifications on your bank's end, follow these steps to update the information in QuickBooks.  Here's how;

 

1. Go to the Banking, then click on the Edit 📝 in the blue tile for the bank account

2. Select Sign-in info

3. Update your login credentials for your online banking

4. Hit Save when done.
