unable to restore backup saved in newer version of qbd

My accountant sent me backup copy saved in QBD 2023. How do i restore it in my QBD 2021 ?

You have QB Desktop 2021 Canadian version with the outright (non-subscription) license, correct?

You can't open a newer version on your program. Contact me in private and we can offer a workaround.
