Update from QB Desktop 2019 Enterprise to 2022 Desktop Enterprise?

We currently have QuickBooks Desktop 2019 Enterprise installed on our workstations and only Database server manger installed on the server. We are looking to upgrade to Desktop 2022 but i first wanted to check what are the steps. Do we just install the new Quickbooks Desktop app on the workstations and database manger auto updates or do we have to install the new version on the workstations and also install a new version of database manager?

Thanks for any help.

@mo94015

You should install QBD 2022 on the same machine running QBD 2019 and make sure not to uninstall it. You will be able to run both programs at the same time to compare any issues.

How about the server? Does database manager need to be upgraded as well or will QB desktop 2022 work with the current version.

You will be installing the new QB Database Server Manager for 2022. Don't uninstall QB DSM for 2019 for the time being.
