Question

Updating Product SKUs to sync correctly with Shopify

Hi there,

The business I work for is getting set up on QBO and runs an online and brick & mortar store through Shopify. We used the OneSaaS Connector to sync data. All the data was imported correctly and syncing works.

We ran into the following issue: When a product SKU needs to be updated, what is the best way to do this? It seems that entering it via Shopify will trigger QBO to view the product as a new item upon sync and create a new listing, and because the Shopify to QBO sync does not pull the stock number, QBO will then override the inventory in Shopify to 0.

Would updating the SKU in Quickbooks update it in Shopify as well? Would updating the SKU in the OneSaas Portal update it in both QBO and Shopify? Or would we need to update it in both locations simultaneously?
