I would like my estimates and invoices to show the following details: SKU, Description of the product (several of our products have the same description but added details such as sizes, Qty, price and amount.

Thanks for reaching out to us regarding this product list import in QuickBooks online, @gg-podiumscanada.

I can share some insights about the process and steps you need to do to get your items imported successfully. Before anything else, please know that the system has a default template for product imports. You will need to follow the format so the system can save the changes.

You may need to review this sample file for importing Products and Services to see if the fields that you need are allowed.

After reviewing the data, here’s how to import your file:

  1. In your QuickBooks Online account, go to Settings ⚙. then Import Data.
  2. Choose Products and Services.
  3. Click Browse to upload the file from your computer. Choose the file, and then select Open.
  4. Or, to upload from Google Sheets, select Connect to sign into your Google account. Choose the file, and then Select.
  5. Press Next.
  6. Map your information. Your Field represents the headers on your spreadsheet. From each drop-down ▼ menu, select the one that matches a field in QuickBooks Online.
  7. Tap Next.
  8. If you see some cells highlighted in red, this means the cell is invalid. Check the cell in your spreadsheet and try importing again.
  9. Select Overwrite all values for each product or service with the same name. Make sure everything looks correct because this can't be undone.
  10. Select Import.

Please let me know if you require further assistance with the steps and process. It's my goal to ensure you're able to import all your product list, and I'll always be here to help. Have great day!
