Want to start the whole year over

I made a mistake with the download. Excel file column names reverse for debits and credits. Noticed it, made the change, uploaded again and ended up with both uploads in the accont. So, the same transaction shows on two seperate lines one as as a debit and the other as a credit. 

Probably easier to start from scratch with a new, blank set of books. Months ago I upload a bit to test out the program and see if would work for me and now I am trying to get the whole year ready for income tax purposes. Seasonal busines so there are about 175 transactions for the whole year. Tried to add the excel file for the whole year but it rejected the file 

Please advise

Hey RickMcA,

 

Welcome to the QuickBooks family! I'm happy to see you're already comfortable importing your transactions into QuickBooks Self-Employed. I want to make sure we get this sorted out so you can start taking advantage of the powerful sales tax features that come built in. I think the best way to approach this would be to simply delete the imports and start again. I can show you how. 

 

It just takes a couple simple steps to delete imported transactions:

  1. Click on the Gear icon and select Imports. 
  2. Select the account you uploaded transactions into.
  3. From the Files imported section, click the trash can icon to delete all transactions linked to an imported file. 

Once that's done, you're all set to try importing again. For additional assistance, don't hesitate to get in touch with our dedicated Self-Employed support team.

Company is only allowed to reset QBO Essential and Plus.

If you have to open a new QBSE account, make sure to click the Buy button to get the discounted price for up to 3 months. If you purchase from the trial account, you have to pay the regular price.
