I'm using quickbooks self-employed and paying month to month.  I've had the same credit card on file for a year and suddenly I'm being asked to update it but it won't accept it.  Unfortunately trying to get help from QB is tiresome.  The help icon leads to a 502 error and the when I contacted the chat it was just radio silence.  I've tried all the things mentioned here as possible solutions.  Has anyone actually solved this issue?

It's a pleasure to see you in Community.  Welcome!  It's important that you're able to update your payment information for your QuickBooks Self-Employed account.  I'd be happy to assist!

 

Error code 81624 is due to incorrect information entered.  If you've received a new credit card from your bank, you'll need to ensure it's activated, the address matches your company address exactly and the name on the card is precise with what you have entered in QuickBooks Self-Employed.  If the error persists, I recommend reaching out to your financial institution for additional information that may be causing the unexpected outcome.  In addition, you can reach out to QuickBooks Self-Employed support for further review from their end.  In the event that you've purchased your product from an app store, I'd also suggest reaching out to them for any other probable cause and assistance with updating your payment method so you can get back to business as soon as possible.
