We have enabled the Vend integration with Quickbooks. The same sales is recorded 5x each register close. Why is this happening?

We have enabled the Vend integration with Quickbooks so the sales and payment data is transferred daily. The same sales are being recorded 5 times every time the register is closing. I have been deleting the duplicates (in invoices), however, it can be cumbersome if I don't do it shortly after close.

I'm glad you've been able to remove the duplicate transactions coming over from Vend into QuickBooks Online, but I can absolutely see how this adds extra work for you. QuickBooks is about cutting out the extra work, so I want to make sure this is addressed as quickly as possible.

 

When working with third-party apps or integrations, the first step when you run into trouble is to contact the app or integration support team. This is rule out issues with the way the app or integration is communication with QuickBooks Online, which could cause multiple entries for the same transaction. Knowing whether you have an app or an integration is as easy as considering how you connected Vend to QuickBooks Online.

 

If you used a connection through the Apps tab in QuickBooks, that means it's an app. In this case, you'll want to connect with the app development support team since they're the ones that control how it works and can address errors like this. To find those contact details, follow these steps.

  1. Select Apps from the left menu in QuickBooks Online.
  2. Choose My Apps.
  3. Select the app.
  4. Review the App information sidebar to see contact details.

If your connection of Vend and QuickBooks Online is happening via Vend, that means it's an integration. In that case, visit the Vend website to learn how to contact support and troubleshoot from that end.

Hi, have you had any success resolving this issue? We are experiencing the same thing. We've been in contact with Vend for 2 weeks now but they are having trouble resolving.

Thanks for reaching out with the experience you've been having. QuickBooks integrates well with many third-party apps; sometimes, there's a minor hiccup in the app's communication. As my colleague mentioned above, reaching out to the app development support team is the path that needs to be followed as they'd be responsible for the coding that allows for the integration. I'm sure that they'll have it resolved soon.
