Question

Web Connect

I imported a web connect file from my RBC account. However, the wrong date range was imported so I had to delete it. I did that. I imported a new web connect file and I got a message that the transactions for April have already been imported so there is nothing to import. How do I reset it so that it imports the file? I'm using Quickbooks Pro for desktop.

Hi Sheldon4,

Welcome to Community!  QuickBooks Desktop is a powerful program designed to simplify your daily bookkeeping tasks.  When you need to manually upload transactions, you can prevent duplicate entries, so your accounts remain balanced.  I'd be glad to assist!

Based on the details you've provided, I suggest deleting the previously uploaded transaction, before proceeding with the updated date range.  This will prevent duplicate entries and error messages.  Here's how;

1. Go to the File menu and Switch to Single-user mode

2. Click on the Accountant menu and select Batch Delete/Void Transactions

3. Select the transactions you want to delete or void from the Available Transactions list

4. Choose Review & Delete (or Review & Void)

5. Select Back Up & Delete or Back Up & Void. You can also skip the backup and select Delete only or Void only from the dropdown menu

6. Hit Yes to confirm you want to delete or void the transactions

You'll be able to select View Deleted/Voided Transaction Report to print a copy of the deleted or voided transactions.

Please don't hesitate to contact us if you require additional assistance.  It would be our pleasure to work with you in real time and ensure you're able to accomplish your QuickBooks goals without further delay!
