Question

What has happened to the new window button? It no longer does anything and I miss the feature greatly!

Hi valeriecook-fina,

Thanks for reaching out! QuickBooks Online is designed with several features to make it easy for you to run your business. Having access to every feature we offer is essential, and I want to make sure you're able to.

A good starting point would be to ensure there are no bugs in the software due to a browser issue. To ensure your app or browser is running the program properly, I recommend following the troubleshooting steps in this article: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online

In case the issue persists, I encourage you to navigate in a private browser (incognito mode) or use an alternative browser altogether. Here's an article with the list of supported browsers for QuickBooks Online: System requirements for QuickBooks Online, Accountant, and QuickBooks Self-Employed

If you're still having trouble accessing the New window option under Accountant tools, select the new tab button on the browser and type qbo.intuit.com as a workaround. On Chromium (Chrome, Opera, new Edge) and gecko (Firefox) based browsers, you have the option to right click the current tab and choose "duplicate".

To restore your New window feature, please reach out to our tech support team so we can investigate this further.
